The New Balance 9060 is a bold reinterpretation of refined style and innovation-led design, building on the legacy of the iconic 99X series. Drawing inspiration from the visible, futuristic aesthetics of the Y2K era, the 9060 distorts familiar elements from classic 99X models to create a fresh and forward-thinking silhouette. A sway bar, borrowed from the 990, is extended across the upper for a sense of dynamic motion, while exaggerated wavy lines and sculpted proportions on the pod midsole highlight the cushioning platforms of ABZORB and SBS. Additional details include a synthetic upper, dual-density midsole for enhanced comfort, a jewel-inspired tongue logo referencing the original 991 lace jewel, and a diamond-pattern outsole inspired by the classic 860 design—all tied together with secure lace-up closure.
